Senior Red Belt
Senior Red Belt Curriculum
Congratulations! You've made it to the rank of Sr. Red Belt. As of now, you can consider yourself a "Black Belt Candidate".
Getting to this rank has taken years of hard work and dedication. The next phase, as you train for your black belt test, will require you to go even deeper as we challenge you to meet the expectations of a black belt.
Please come by the office and request a Sr. Red Belt Evaluation booklet. You will need to test for six stripes as a candidate. The first is for white through yellow belt forms. The second for greens, the third for blues, the fourth for browns and ALL FORMS. The fifth is for self defense (two sets of browns and one set for red) and the last is for board breaking where you will have to break a minimum of 10 breaks.
When you feel comfortable with the material for a stripe, you will make an appointment for an evaluation with a Red Collar Instructor. This can be done during the forms class on Friday or any time it says "Intros and Privates" on the schedule. If you pass the evaluation, you may make an appointment to be tested for a stripe by a Black Collar Instructor during the same time frames. Expect the stripe testings to get harder and harder as you push yourself in your training to be your personal best.
