Required Knowledge
Won Hyo (Won Heo) was the great scholar of the Dang Dynasty of China that brought Buddhism to the Silla Dynasty of Korea in 686 AD. He established his own system of ideology that solved the conflicts between the various religious sects. Won Hyo reached the highest position as a scholar and a monk. However, his most remarkable achievements were his activities in relieving the poverty and suffering of ordinary people. After Won Hyo left the monastery, he spent the rest of his life traveling around the country and teaching Buddhism. As an example to them, he lived as he preached.

Green Belt represents the growth of the plant and the sprouting of the leaves. The student is growing and developing power in techniques as the basics begin to work in unison.
TaeKwonDo when translated literally is Foot (tae), fist (kwon), and way (do). It is commonly known as the “the art of kicking and punching”.
Free Sparring all kicks and punches must be above the belt and no techniques are permitted to the back. The goal for free sparring is to put combinations together and heighten reaction time.
